Aalaya Nritya Kalavanam is the park which ‘Enlighten the Temple Dance Tradition’. The main object behind the construction of this valuable monument is ‘Repropagation of Alaya Nritya’ to the next generation. It represents 1000 Years history of Temple Dances. The idea behind construction of this park is to develop Rajahmundry as a pilgrim Centre.
It is situated at Rajahmundry, which is known to be the cultural Capital of Andhra Pradesh. It is situated left side of First Asian largest Road-cum-Rail Bridge at it is at the entrance of Rajahmundry and it is a Junction of NH 5. It is the first construction in history of Temple Dances. It represents Tradition Temple Dance is the devotional art form, it is not exhibition Art. Temple Dance is the horizon of all performing dances. It integrates all performing dances like Kuchupudi, Andhra Natyam of Andhra Pradesh, Bharatanatyam of Tamilnadu, Mohini Attam of Kerala and Odissi of Orissa States. The Temple Dance base is Four Veda’s to be known as Rugveda, Yajurveda, Adarvana Veda and Samaveda. The area of Temple Dance Park campus is total 2000 Yards. |
| Narthana Yagna Digvijaya Stupam: |
It was 40 feet height with 5 floors according with silpas. 5th Floor Shikhara with Kumba Harathi. It is main article of Agama Traditional Temple Dance. 4th floor statue of Lord Sri Vinayaka, who is called as God of Gods. 3rd floor statue of Lord Sri Mahavishnu and Sri Sanku Chakra. Who belong to Vaishnavagama Temple Dance form and four corners are equipped with temple dancers with ‘Anjali ’. 2nd floor statue of Nataraja, Thandavaeswara and omkara, four corners are equipped with traditional dancers with ‘Pushpanjali ’. These are all indicates to Saivagama tradition. 1st floor details about ‘3 Narthana Yagnas ’, sthupa history and four corners are equipped temple dancers with ‘Kumba Harathi ’. Ground floor of stupa with representation of four yugas. Lord Maha Vishnu with Mrudanga, Lord Brahma with Nattuva, Lakshmidevi with Voel, Saraswathidevi with Veena, Narada with tambura and all yaksha, gandarva, kinnera, Muni, Apsaras all are accompanists to Lord Sivas Thandava only visioner was Devain Morther Sri Parvathidevi. It is a great dance, first performances of Lord Nataraja Sandhya Tandavam. Sandhya Tandavam front of the stupa, its representation of ‘kritayuga’. Ravanasura is a scholler in dance. He pray lord Siva every day with dance all are known the ‘sivatandava sthotra’ written by Ravansura that’s way he is very dearest to Lord Siva. It’s a symbol of devotional dance from ’Ravana Nritya Puja’ silpa left of the stupa. Its representation of ‘Tretayuga’. ‘Lord Srikirshna’ is a Dancer. He play the dance on the snake head, it’s called ‘Kaliya Mardhana’. It’s a symbol of highness of dance. ‘Krishna Thandava Silpa’ at back sides of the stupa its representation of ‘Dwaparayuga’. The temple dance form not only in Hindu tradition, but also in Buddha tradition. Buddests pray the Bagavan Buddha with dance. ‘Bouddha Nritya Aradhana’ silpa at the right side of stupa. Its representation of ‘Kaliyuga’. |
Statue 1 – Alaya Nrityam:
Dance is a main object of Sodasa Upacharapuja at Temples. The Statue tells about history of traditional temple dances. It is 15 feet height. Statue 2 – Yagnanarthana: This statue in dicates the procedures relating to old Yagna & Yaga, avahana traditional Veda Narthana. It is 15 feet height. Statue 3 – Vaishnavagama Narthana: The statue is symbol of vaikhanasa, Pancharatra Agama avahana. Its educate the people to Vaishnavagama dance traditional form. It is 15 feet height. Statue 4 – Saivagama Narthana: The statue is a symbol of Saivagama Aradhana style. Its educate the people how to dedicate the Lord Siva with dance. It is 15 feet height. Statue 5 – Kakatiya Tandavam: The statue represents to people how to pray the Lord Siva is Veera Siava traditional style in 13th century. It is 15 feet height. Statue 6 – Vijaya Nagara Nritya Vinyasam: It represents how to people the Lord Vishnu in Vira Vaishnava Traditional style in 15th Century. It is 15 feet height. Statue 7 – Maha Sivalingam: It was 18 feet height. The Maha Sivalingam with Lord Sri Vinayaka and the shadow of Maha Sarpam. |

It is first time in World Cultural History, that all silpas are build by one place. It’s happened only with the man’s hard work, and it is shows dedication about the traditional temple dance. This Alaya Nritya Kalavanam shows History and Heritage of temple dances to generations of next. It is a symbol of dedication towards the dance of Dr. Sappa Duraga Prasad.
On 24-1-2008 Union Minister for Human resources Smt. Daggupati Purandhareswari inaugurated this Temple Dance Park. Andhra Transport Minister Sri. Kanna Lakshminarayana, Housing Board Minister Sri. Botsa Satyanarayan, Exice Minister Sri. Jakkampudi Rammohana Rao, Parliament member Sri. Undavilli Arun Kumar, Dist. Collector Sri. M subrahmanyam, Sri. Routu Surya Prakasa Rao – MLA, Sri. Kandula Durgesh – MLC, Mayer Smt. Adireddi Veeraraghavamma and other dignateries are participated in this Inaugural Function. |
